The Oyster 62 features one of the safest, family-friendly cockpits in a yacht of this size, with twin wheels creating an ideal helming position whether sailing from the windward or leeward side or just coming alongside. With its fixed centreline table, the 62’s ergonomically designed cockpit really has to be the best in class for size, configuration, and comfort.
Performance under sail and power is excellent with 200-mile days in full cruising trim being the norm. As soon as the wind gets to 10 knots or more her long waterline length of almost fifty-five feet (16.75m) and clean hull lines translate into better-than-expected boat speed on every point of sail. Even in very light airs, the 62 remains responsive; while in a full breeze, her low centre of gravity bulb keel provides great stability, which again produces more performance in a well-balanced way.
This Rob Humphreys-designed Oyster 62 is a beautiful-looking yacht suited to fast long-distance cruising in style and comfort. Below decks, she is beautifully fitted out in light oak, with ten berths in five cabins.
