If you've raced in San Francisco Bay over the last 20 years, you've probably seen Alpha. She's been winning races all over the country!

She's been dry sailed in SF Bay for the last 20 years, and has made several competition trips in Florida, Chicago, and the Northeast, serving as a paralympic class competition boat. The Sonar found popularity through their suitability for one design racing and competitive handicap sailing. This is a fun boat while remaining easy to handle. Its large cockpit makes it a comfortable boat to day sail.

She's got competitive, newer, North Sails that have always been dry stored. She comes with a trailer.

Alpha, sail number 496, is a built Sonar class yacht designed by Bruce Kirby of Laser dinghy fame. She has an impressive set of results, is well set up for racing, has been dry sailed since new.
