The Soto HPE 30 can be easily sailed at club level or raced hard in IRC races. Designed as a fast, balanced, fun and thoroughly contemporary race boat she can be handled by a crew of four in light winds and carry up to six in stronger breeze. Clearly, the yacht follows along the same design cues as its larger sister, the Soto 40. But you will also recognise the many small details that make this yacht stand out from its peers in the market.
The cockpit is enormous, over 4 metres long, with a full beam hull flare aft to add to crew comfort. There is a carbon rudder, tiller and keel fin with a modern and powerful carbon rig from Southern Spars which is fitted with B & G racing electronics on three displays. The keel is fully retractable for transport and the whole boat packs into a single high cube 40ft container for shipping. The yacht is powered by a 6 horse power Suzuki outboard which fits in a cut out on the starboard side and stows away for racing. For weekly club races or local and international regattas the Soto HPE 30 brings a fresh alternative to the market in a sexy 30 foot package. The sail wardrobe includes new Doyle sails number one and three jib, a Norlam (mylar/polyester) mainsail and two spinnakers. There are also a set of old 3DL number one and three jibs and mainsail for deliveries.
