Extensively refitted and remodelled example of the fast lightweight cruiser racer from Vismara. Mind-boggling value for money with absolutely no expense spared plus enough sails to fuel an America’s Cup campaign!

OWNER’S COMMENTS:

 

With this project, the Vismara Yacht Design has created a fast hull and loose with the IMS Regulations, which give satisfaction and results in IRC regattas, open and LOA. The disengaging from IMS regulation has enabled greater internal volume and cockpit; as well as increased performance, cruising and racing. The usability of this 45 'Racer / Cruiser also cruising is ultimately ensured not only by the livability of the interior, but also the expected amenities, such as heating in all rooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 large cabins, etc

 

The deck is equipped for racing with the german mainsheet system recessed from the base of the boom up to 2 dedicated winches in the cockpit. The cockpit is very large, functional and ergonomic. The aft bench (also carbon), once removed, also serves as a walkway. The stern is open and the double steering, besides being much more practical in navigation (to better observe the bow sails), allows a much more easy access to the edge, with respect to the single wheel boats. The sail plan is evident for a carbon mast (high density), with 2 sets of swept back spreaders.

 

CONSTRUCTION

 

RCD Status:

  • CE Certification to be confirmed

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

  • The construction is very sophisticated, with rolling the hull and deck on male moulds, by the use of carbon fiber and anti-collision Kevlar reinforcements in areas with greater risk of impact (bow and stern), on epoxy matrix, impregnation vacuum to 0.65 Atm and posture at 60 ° for 12 hours.Even bulkheads and structural plates are in carbon.
  • Navy blue painted hull with red lines – resprayed 2015
  • Speedy carbon Ventians antifouling system - 2015

 

Keel & Rudder:

  • The keel is made blade choirs in pressed steel sheaved in GRP (re-profiled and re-sheaved 2009)
  • Bulb antimony lead terminal 4%, also sheaved in GRP (re-sheaved 2009).
  • Keel removed and checked – 2016 (removed for purposes of transport)
  • The axis and the rudder blade is vacuum laminated on carbon epoxy matrix

 

MACHINERY

 

Engine & gearbox:

  • Lombardini 40hp diesel engine – overhauled 2013 and serviced 2015
  • Fresh­water cooled engine.
  • Saildrive gearbox - 2009
  • Single lever engine control.  

 

Propulsion & Steering:

  • Helix Bri-Ski (New Zealand), two-blade folding (03/2009)
  • Gori three-blade folding cruising propeller, two-step (power or speed) 
  • Twin wheel steering with white painted carbon fibre wheels – overhauled 2016
  • Emergency tiller.

 

ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

 

Voltage systems:

  • 12vDC domestic systems with 220vAC via shore-power
  • The electric panel has provision for additional outlets.

 

Battery Banks:

  • 1x 12vDC 70Ah engine start battery
  • 2x 12vDC 100Ah Lithium batteries for services - 2013
