Hull and Deck
The Sunbeam 29 boasts a unique level of safety and comfort beginning with a selective construction and production principle for elevated cruising and vigorous safety.
The hull is formed from a double shell construction, hand laminated.
Laminating includes reinforcement for all deck fittings.
Safety precautions are in place which far exceed the demanded requirements.
The standard production of the Sunbeam 29, for active safety, is remarkably higher than expected for this size of yacht.
High quality features include non-skid deck, rounded edges in the interior, a stable double guardrail, a divided bow pulpit, stern pushpit, rescue ladder, practical reefing equipment, recessed Traveller as well as grab handles in all the right positions.
The transom has a separate storage for fenders and lines.
The cockpit has an integrated mounting - possibly for the autopilot.
Other standard features include teak covering in the cockpit and transom; self-tailing winches, lazy jacks, lighting system and deck hatches.
Cabin/Accommodation
The harmony of the space, high quality appearance of the interior and the residential atmosphere justify themselves on board the Sunbeam 29.
All interior fittings are in first class Sapelli Mahogany with frames and borders.
The comfortable saloon houses a U-settee, fold-down table and berth opposite.
The practical gallery houses a sink and two burner cooker. The storage cupboard is on the port side in front of the longitudinal berth.
The average height of 1.80m together with the excellent ventilation system provides more than adequate ventilation and comfort. This is further supported by separate sleeping and storage areas in the forepeak and the aft cabin - each sleeping 2 people comfortably.
The heads area has its own ventilation through light plastic slits on the starboard side and houses a wash basin, cupboard, water-drip tray, toilet and the mounting for a possible shower fitting.
