The Autopilot is fully integrated with the NX2 system, enabling automatic steering by heading, wind angle, power steering and GPS-enabled steering by waypoints. The ram weighs 12 lbs and can be removed from the boat easily (for example, for one design racing or for winter storage).

The current configuration initiates the 5-minute countdown upon pushing the button for three seconds. During the 5-minute sequence, one of the displays shows the distance to the start line (DTL = Distance to Line). After the start, the same display shows target apparent wind angle, another display shows target boat speed.
Garmin CSX76 hand-held, connected to Nexus Autopilot to facilitate steering by GPS waypoints.
