The interior of a Caliber is very well appointed using quality marine grade materials like teak, holly, 316 stainless steel, and nice joinery. Her interior is also designed with offshore comfort in mind. As you walk throughout the cabin, sturdy handrails are strategically placed throughout the cabin and the Nav station, galley, and head are all adjacent to the companionway. The window ports all open with bug screens and are high-grade stainless steel. In total, there are 14 opening window ports and 7 overhead hatches that allows the cabin to stay cool and well lit. For added comfort, the cabin has a 16000 BTU air conditioner if needed while on the dock. Headroom in cabin is 6’ 4”
Starting forward, the MASTER CABIN has a tremendous amount of storage with a large cedar lined hanging locker, vanity and numerous drawers and cabinets. The vanity has a pullout seat, mirror, and table with storage underneath. The berth is offset to port with drawer and cabinet storage underneath. The master has an en-suite private head forward, with separate shower stall. The mattress has a custom memory foam mattress topper.
Aft of the master is the SALOON. The Caliber’s cabin is very easy to move throughout thanks to her generous beam and design features. One space saving feature is the large dining table neatly folds up against the forward bulkhead, freeing up the whole saloon. To port is an L-shaped settee that converts into an extra large queen sized berth. Since the boats tankage is all built in below the sole, underneath and behind the settees you'll find excellent dry storage. A Samsung TV is to starboard.
Next aft is the GALLEY with an L-shaped countertop. The twin dish stainless steel sink and stainless stove/oven each have covers to maximize the countertop. The Sink is deep and has hot/cold water pressure in addition to a manual fresh water foot pump. The galley area is well ventilated with two opening hatches above the stovetop to help keep the cabin cool while cooking. Other galley conveniences include an Alder/Barbour refrigerator, microwave, 120v outlets and ample storage.
Aft of the galley is the NAV STATION. While seated at the nav station, a lewmar hatch opens into the cockpit for easy communication between the helmsmen and navigator. Chart storage is underneath the table top and additional storage is underneath the nav seat

Furthest aft and to starboard is the private GUEST CABIN. This cabin has a quarter berth with private access to the guest head, cedar lined hanging locker and storage cabinet. Two opening window ports and hatch provide ventilation and light.
The GUEST HEAD has private access to the guest cabin and access next to the galley.
The T-shaped cockpit makes it easy to walk aft to the wheel or swim ladder. A centerline table pops up from the pedestal and the bimini/dodger provides excellent sun protection all day long. Designed with offshore in mind, the cockpit had tall coamings to keep the cockpit dry and safe. Two seats are molded into the stern pulpit and are the best seats in the house. For storage, a 2-tank propane locker and general storage locker is aft. Underneath the port seat is a very large storage compartment for fenders, lines and anything else. This locker also gives you access to the batteries and fuel delivery and water supply system. A cockpit shower is aft. To go below, an optional double companionway door makes it easy to get below and has a built in bug screen.
With 212 gallons of fuel capacity in two independent tanks, The Pharaohs Barge has an impressive range of over 1,400 miles. Each tank has its own racor filter and selector valves so its easy to switch from one tank to the next. Her power plant is a 50hp Yanmar and while there is no hour meter, the seller reports there is no more than 1000 hours on this engine. Please contact the broker for an annual oil analysis on the engine.
All features of the Caliber 40 are designed for maximum safety while offshore sailing. The Pharaohs Barge has a collision bulkhead forward that completely separates the forepeak from the rest of the cabin. In addition to 9,500lbs of ballast, all the boats tankage is low in the boat, which helps to lower its center of gravity. The hull is a solid fiberglass laminate and decks are cored. The caliber's hull/deck joint is named the Quad-Seal Deck to Hull System™, which bonds the deck with a combination of through-bolting, 3M 5200, copolymer tape and good placement of the rubrail and the aluminum toerail. The Integral Strength-Grid System ™ on board refers to the bonding of the fuel and water tanks to the structure of the hull which not only creates a double bottom effect, but also strengthens the boat and helps spread the loads evenly over the hull. The bottom paint was recently media blasted, barrier coated and painted
