Primarily known for their range of high quality cruising yachts Hylas also developed a range of powerboats in the early nineties. Most of these went to the US but this 52 was built specifically for the owner to be kept here in Asia. She was repowered in 2002 with brand new Cat 3926/660hp engines and a new Onan 16kw genset. She offers a top speed of 25knots and cruises comfortably at 20knots giving a range of 350NM or up to 900NM when doing 9knots. The three cabin layout offers two large double cabins and one with twin bunks. The well equipped L shaped galley is up at saloon level which is spacious with recent new upholstery fitted to all lounges. the cockpit is huge and uncluttered with a fighting table in the center, live bait tank and a refrigerated fish bin under the cockpit floor all shaded by the new sunbrella awning. The swim platform was designed especially by the owner to be wide enough for diving applications and makes for a great addition, diving or not. The flybridge helm is fully equipped with all the required navigation equipment new in 2012 including autopilot, radar, fish finder and several GPS and VHF/HF systems. The tender and outboard are stored at the back of the flybridge with the help of a electric davit crane. The overall condition of the boat has to be seen to be appreciated and it is a credit to the owner and his dedicated full time captain. Inspections encouraged.
