A very good clean example of the rare Princess 30 DS Flybridge.
GRP constructed with white gelcoat topsides and dark blue and red detailing over silver undersides.
"Shadow Too" is well constructed of two prime mouldings forming the deck and hull structure to form an extremely strong unit. The hull thickness, beams and floors are all very substantial and well engineered. She has a semi-displacement deep vee underwater profile with twin out drives providing propulsion and steering. The topsides are pierced with synthetic skinfittings, and the transom area carries a very neat teak and stainless steel bathing platform and boarding ladder.
All deck areas where appropriate are covered with excellent antislip surfaces. The foredeck is large and is fitted with stainless steel guard rails.
Power for this vessel is provided by twin Volvo Penta AQ313C four cylinder petrol engines each providing 120 horsepower and each driving a Volvo Penta SP-MT stern drive unit fitted with an alloy three bladed propeller. The starboard engine has recently been rebuilt and at the same time the port engine was given a complete overhaul and full service.. Neither engine has used any hours since.
The engines are very easily accessible in the large locker under the cockpit which also provides extra storage space for fenders etc and houses two fire extinguishers.
The general arrangement of Shadow Too comprises of a large double berth owner's cabin forward. A midships dining area to port with galley and heads to starboard. Steps lead up to the helm and deck saloon areas with large patio doors leading onto the cockpit in the stern with a ladder leading up to the flybridge.
The forward cabin has a good size double berth and hanging lockers. The heads provide both hot and cold pressurised water to the large sink and the curtained shower area. A Jabsco sea toilet has discharge facilities to both sea and the internal holding tank when required. The dining area has comfortable seating for 4 which also converts into a double berth, with a fridge under that can be run of 240v or 12v. Opposite is a generous sized galley with two stainless steel sinks with both hot and cold water, plate rack and plenty of cupboard space. Galley services are provided by a Plastimo Atlantic gas fired two burner, grill and oven stove. Steps lead up to the saloon area which has an L shaped sofa to starboard and a bench sofa to port that also provides seating for the helm. Navigational equipment comprises of Incastek depth and log instruments and Plastimo Offshore steering compass all of which are repeated on the flybridge. A Garmin GPS 128 is mounted at the lower helm position. Throughout, the accommodation has been tastefully furnished and carpeted and is in excellent condition, the teak finished woodwork is particularly good.
To the cockpit which is spacious and comfortable. Protected, by a custom made cover, fitted with zipped access points and windows. Ladder leading up to the fly bridge which offers more comfortable space and external helming.
Shadow Too is a fine, well looked after and maintained example of the popular Princess 30DS class. Completed in 1988 she is now twenty five years old yet has the look of a timeless classic.
