Pacific Seacraft's Dana 24 is a remarkable boat. No other boat its size offers the seagoing ability and creature comforts resulting in this Bill Crealock - Pacific Seacraft collaroration. Not only is the Dana hugely attractive, but it's sturdily built and is capable of being sailed most anywhere on the planet. Note the high bulwarks rather than tiny toerails, comfortable sea-going cockpit, standing headroom below, enclosed head with vanity and shower, full galley, proper icebox, hot and cold pressurized water, comfortable accommodations for four, removable cockpit sole for increased engine access, diesel engine. The list goes on.
KIA is cutter-rigged, with a quick-release lever at the base of the staysail stay so the stay may be easily tied off to a shroud to convert the boat to a sloop. She is equipped with Monitor wind vane steering, not attached at this time but easily reattached, a thermostat-controlled diesel-fired Espar heating system which is yachting's equivalent of a home oil furnace, and newer sails.
Now involved in the restoration of an 18th century New England colonial house, KIA's owner no longer has the time to sail her. Come see this little ship before she gets hauled and covered for the winter.
