This world sailing yacht is a fresh water boat only. No rust or corrosion on rigging or deck hardware. Did you know salt water and salt air turns stainless steel brittle over time, not to mention all of the other negative effects of salt water?
Delivered to Lake Erie for the original/present owner, Gracious Living III has only been on the Great Lakes. This Vagabond 47 Voyager is a true Bluewater Yacht, capable of cruising the world. It is a William Garden design and will turn heads no matter what far-off harbor you pull into.
The ketch rig cannot be beat for long distance offshore safe cruising. The sails are original, but have not been used much due to the short seasons here in Michigan and the fact that she has spent the majority of her life in her owner-owned slip. The sails are reported to be 10oz. Dacron. The mainsail will need some minor stitching on a seam and all of the sails will need cleaning. The engine is all original with around 1700 hours and starts right up and runs great. This is a Ford tractor engine by design and is nearly bullet proof. A generator with a sound shield was installed around 2000 and has very low running hours.
She does need some TLC as the maintenance schedule has not been kept up as it should. Make an appointment to see this large ocean going cruising yacht today and sail away to that far off destination!
