No fossil fuels aboard! The owner converted from the original diesel engine to an electric drive - meaning no fuel smell, no risk of oil or fuel in the bilge, plus extremely quiet operation and reliability. The owner has 15 years experience in the alternative energy business with over 100 electric conversions, and has thought out all system adjustments, providing separate but interconnected battery banks for power and back up. The electric drive offers a renewable energy source with speeds of 2-4 kts and a charge duration of 2-4 hours. Be environmentally responsible cost-effectively and join the wave of the future!

This is the standard Newport 30 layout with the galley and convertible dinette to port, followed moving forward by the head compartment and v-berth. Moving aft to starboard is a straight settee, nav station with dedicated seat and a large quarter berth.
The port settee converts readily to a double berth using the dinette table, which conveniently folds against the bulkhead when not in use. The galley is all electric, operating either directly on shore power or through the inverter. The cabin lights have been upgraded to LED. Storage is excellent, the salon sole is carpeted and the upholstery is original but in good condition. Good ventilation through the opening hatches and ports. The head compartment comprises a manual head with holding tank, vanity with washbasin and hand-held shower. There is no water pressure system, and foot pumps provide (cold) water to both the head and galley.
