C&C did an excellent job of building boats that cruised comfortably and won on the race course. The C&C 40 is a prime example of this design philosophy. A beautiful boat to look at and a thrill to sail, she is a classic. Only about 125 of these were built and they remain in strong demand throughout North America.
Heralded as one of the all time great racer/cruisers, "Sara" is a unique C&C 40’ featuring a keel centerboard which allows for shallow draft sailing on a larger hull platform. When the centerboard is up, the draft is 4' 9" and when it is down it is 8' 6", allowing "Sara" to handle much stronger winds and point like a bird dog!.
"Sara's" has provided a great deal of pleasure to her current owners, but they now have other plans that don’t allow the time for sailing necessary to utilize a boat of this caliber. She is an exceptionally clean and well maintained boat that is rigged and ready with attractive interior soft goods and plenty of room to sleep seven.
This boat is located at a local marina here in Oriental, the sailing capital of NC. Please call to arrange a showing.
