This handsome Newman 32 was custom rebuilt in 2005-6 as an elegant cruiser for her present owners. The details and superb workmanship will be appreciated upon inspection. Solid fiberglass hull built by the Jarvis Newman Company of Southwest Harbor, Maine, with a minimum of 10 layers of mat and roving, plus reinforcing--all by hand. She was completely rebuilt by the Newman & Gray Boatyard of Cranberry Island, Maine in 2005-6. The large platform is painted fir and is self bailing. Her cabin and shelter tops are fiberglass foam core with varnished mahogany handrails. Decks and cockpit sole are painted fir. Varnished mahogany toe rail.
2006 496 cu. in. Volvo Penta V8, 375 HP. 2:1 BW gear. 1 1/2" SS shaft swinging a 4-blade prop. Total hours approx. 500. Single-lever Morse controls. Capilano hydraulic steering. Engine is under wheelhouse platform.

Sleeps 2 below on 6'4" vee berths (4" upholstered cushions) that are aft of rope locker. To starboard is a large enclosed head with SS sink, vanity, and flush. Galley is to port with SS sink with cold water, electric ice chest on sliding shelf, and an Origo 4100 alcohol stove. The very attractive cabin is painted white with varnished mahogany trim and varnished fir sole. Four opening bronze ports and mahogany cabin top hatch for good light and ventilation. Headroom is 6'5". Up three steps to spacious cockpit with helm to starboard. Custom mahogany stern and side seats in her spacious16-ft. long painted gray fir cockpit. A custom mahogany swim platform is aft.
