It doesn't happen as often it should, but sometimes the right owner comes into stewardship of a special boat and takes proper care of her. When the current owner of this boat bought her she was in fine shape but was not bristol. He set to work immediately to not only restore her, but make her better than new. She is a proper little yacht and ready to be the prettiest boat in your harbor.
Now, reaching the sunset of his years, the owner has decided it is time for Turtle to have a new steward, some one who will care for her as diligently as he did.
Two monel water tanks. A 35 gallon tank under the v-berth and a 55 gallon tank in the keel for a total of 100 gallons of water.
The fuel tank is a 25 gallon monel tank under the cockpit.
The galley is to either side of the companionway. To starboard is the sink and the three burner alcohol stove with oven. To port is the fridge and freezer which also doubles as the nav table. The sink has pressure hot and cold water.
Forward is a spacious V-berth with a filler cushion to create a nice double berth. Aft of the forward cabin is a good sized head to port and a hanging locker to starboard. The head is new and there is a shower with hot and cold water in addition to the stainless steel sink. In the salon, two settee/sea berths flank a folding table with storage behind. All of the cushions have been reupholstered in tasteful grey with contrasting piping. All of the wood trim is satin finished mahogany that shows off the work of the skilled tradesmen who built this boat.
The Forward Cabin
Forward is a good sized V-berth with an infill cushion. There are many cabinets above the berth for storage. There is an overhead hatch as well as two New Found Metals stainless steel opening port lights.
Aft and to port of the forward cabin is the head. The head is equipped with a Lectrasan MC for easy use. There is also a sink with hot and cold pressure water. There is another of those beautiful portlights in the head. Opposite the head is a large hanging locker.
The salon is a traditional layout with a settee to either side of boat. A large fold down table conceals storage for dishes and electronics.
