Manufacturer Provided Description
The Wasque 30 is the perfect combination of small boat agility with the accommodations and seakeeping ability of a much larger yacht. Although her hull shows unmistakable Downeast lineage, she is a thoroughly modern concept, designed to meet the requirements of today's active boating family. Sophisticated construction techniques create a stronger, stiffer, lighter yacht with less wetted surface and higher speed potential that other Downeast-style yachts. Today's lighter, quieter, more powerful diesels and drive systems improve both the quality of life aboard and the cruising speed and range. The boat is available with either a soft top or a hard top, with a large galley and enclosed head along with a generous V-berth and storage. The cockpit has an engine box and seats, and is available with an L-shaped settee and table, making the cockpit an inviting area to entertain in. There are helm and pilot seats, and many hatches for access to gear, fuel tanks, and the engine area.
The Wasque 30 uses a proven Jarvis Newman hull which started life out as a commercial hull; they can still be found fishing year-round in the waters from Canada to the Caribbean. Their legendary performance evolved from countless hours of development under extreme conditions translating into an extremely seaworthy vessel equally capable of offshore voyages to casual harbor cocktail cruises.
