In 2005 and she was rewired extensively. A complete new Raymarine instruments suite was fitted and new sails ordered for the 2007 season.
Her engine was replaced in 2008 with a Perkins unit that came from my other charge at the time, Opposition, formerly Morning Cloud, as the owner had completed a rebuild. The Perkins engine was replaced and was available, having done less than a thousand hours running and I knew had been fully serviced throughout its life, it is in perfect shape. I had her rudder extended by 9" following dialogue with her designers, Sparkman and Stephens, and to their design which helped her windward and down wind performance as well as the ability to manoeuvre in a marina.
I believe she had her teak deck replaced in the Carribean in 2003 and it is still in reasonable order with a few points requiring attention, but no major issues.
Her backstay ram needs overhaul but not replacement.
New 3 speed automatic Harken winches were fitted in 2007 for the genoa and spinnaker sheets.
New dyneema halyards were fitted in 2007 and genoa sheets,
Under my charge she competed in the Swan Europeans at Cowes in 2005 and 2007.
New carbon sails were purchased in 2006 and 2007 with an A sail being purchased in 2007 which gave an extra gear for reaching but ius also used to great effect as a heavy weather spinnaker with greater downwind control in heavy airs.
She did Cork Week in 2006 and 2008. West Highland Week 2005,2006,2007. Scottish Series 2005,2006, 2007, 2008.
