Hulls and Deck
All three hulls and the adjoining wing sections are molded in one piece in fiberglass laminate. The deck with its integral cockpit is also one piece and is bonded to the hulls. There are therefore no cross beams to get in the way. Several structural bulkheads provide tremendous strength and rigidity. Asymmetrical outer hulls serve to resist leeway, so there is no need for a keel or centerboard. The hulls are cored with synthetic foam and some balcore to keep weight down and strength up. The main hull has a molded skeg and cast bronze shoe to protect the propeller and rudder when underway and when on the hard. Three hatch openings in each outer hull provide access to vast storage areas.
Self-bailing cockpit with four overboard drains. Anodized aluminum windshield with electric windshield wiper. Four fixed and two hinged sections; fitted with Weblon top, and side and rear curtains forming a comfortable dry cockpit even in foul weather. All exterior wood is teak and walnut. The cockpit contains an insulated cooler, a storage box under the seat, destroyer-type steering wheel, cockpit seats, two EZ-in steps. Hatch provides convenient access to engine and batteries.
