The Harbour Launched Diesel was built in 1958 by G. Thomson & Sons Ltd, 1 Lowe St Buckie, United Kingdom. It is double diagonal teak on oak frames, Fully copper riveted. The hull below the waterline has been completely plated with copper plates. The deck is also teak on oak frames and has been casket over with fabric and painted green. The bulkheads are steel riveted and the super structure consists partly of solid wood and partly ply wood. A Foden FD 6, 2 stroke marine diesel 149 hp, has been placed in 1964 driving a 3:1 gear box a steel prop shaft and bronze 3 bladed propeller.
The vessel stayed for the last ten years in Alvor on the Algarve in Portugal. It recently partly flooded and since then the engine has been recovered but the whole vessel is in need for general overhaul. The owner lost motivation and wants to sell her quickly. Please send us your offer if you are in for a complete rebuild on a traditional vessel. Currently British SSR registered.
